Not Neccessarily New Reviews
Here we will have reviews of movies that have been out for little while!

"VANILLA SKY"-"R"
This I am sorry to say is one of the worst Tom Cruise movies to date. From the beginning you find yourself trying to undertstand this movie as it bounces time frames. You are not sure which is real and which is not, leading to more boredom. David(Tom Cruise)a rich jet setting playboy type, meets Sophia(Penenlope Cruz)a girl who makes him change his way of thinking. Meanwhile Julie(Cameron Diaz), his best friend, is in love with him and is out to prove it. After this the confusion starts and you are left with over 2 hours worth of wondering how you could have wasted this money. This was also done in Spanish, which would have been better to see, as I don't speak Spanish and could not have been nearly as confused. Is the Tom/Nicole break up destined to ruin these two forever?

"BANDITS" - "PG13"
This is rated as an action movie, but honestly I don't understand why. The story is about two really nice bank robbers. It begins with the end, and bounces between past and present so that you may understand the ending. Considering the main characters, Bruce Willis / Billy Bob Thornton, it is amazingly slow, but not without the one liners we have grown accustomed to with Bruce. Cate Blanchett is thrown into the middle of all this to give guys something to look at while trying to figure out where "Diehard" fits in to all this. The ending provided the only relief from realizing I had paid full price for the ticket.

"SPY GAME" - "R"
This was a very good movie and an impressive comeback for Robert Redford who has not been heard from for awhile. You have to pay attention throughout the movie to keep up with what is going on, but it is worth it! Tom Bishop(BRAD PITT) is attempting to free someone from a Chinese jail when he is caught. His mentor, Nathan Muir(ROBERT REDFORD), on his final day before retirement, learns of this through trickory mastered through years of experience and attempts to help to free Tom before it is to late. This is filled with much goings on in the CIA, which just adds to the question of what do they really do there? Very good movie worth paying for more than once!

"THE ONE" - "PG13"
This is your typical martial arts film with some "Matrix" special effects thrown in to make a somewhat boring movie at least watchable. Jet Li plays two persons in different universes. He has destroyed all other ones like him in other universes and has gained all their strength and knowledge. Now he is out to see what happens if he is "THE ONE" that is left. Will it ruin all worlds?
Will it have no effect on any others? Roedecker(Delroy Lindo) and Funsch(Jason Statham) do not want to find out, so they chase him through black holes to prevent this from happening. Carla Gugino plays a small part as his girlfriend that helps him in some way in different worlds. While not a totally boring movie, it has a plot, most of the time you are viewing action scenes which keep your interest. Not nearly as well done as "THE MATRIX", but some good scenes nonetheless.

"SERENDIPITY" - "PG13"
This movie is based on accidental fortunate discoveries. John Cusak finds himself meeting his soul mate, Kate Beckinsale who just happens to believe in fate, causing many things to occur, leaving her to beleive if they were meant to be together, fate would decide that. They become seperated and move on with their lives, until things begin to happen which start to make them think that fate is trying to intervene. A series of attempts/mishaps make this movie a very romantic love story in which you are constantly wondering what's next!

"DON'T SAY A WORD" -"R"
This movie is a thriller, set a fast pace. It's about a psychiatrist who is given a day to pry information from a new patient, having to do with a job that occured 10 years ago, by a bunch of jewel thieves. His daughter is kidnapped for his motivation.
Starring Micheal Douglas as the Psychiatrist and Brittany Murphy as the Patient, with both playing excellent roles. I believe that Micheal Douglas should stick to playing the sophisticated hero roles because he does them so well! I would pay to see this one again!

"TRAINING DAY"-"R"
This was a film that had you constantly trying to decipher between Good and Evil. Most movies with Denzel Washington are worth going to see and this one is no exception. You will at times find yourself wondering how he could have played this part, while at the same time, think of what a wonderful part he played. Ethan Hawke as well played to his roll as a cop trying to move up in his career while figuring out if he is doing the right thing.

"THIRT13EN GHOSTS" - "R"
What appeared to be a great Halloween movie, was one of the biggest disapointments that we have reviewed as of today! While the special effects were at least admirable, the acting in this was atrocious! From the very start we watched in total amazement, realizing that the preview was showing the entire best parts of the movie. Beginning to end, this movie leaves you wishing you had known how bad this was, so you could have spent the money you wasted on something more valuable, such as hemmoroid cream. It is not even worth describing the plot or the actors, as they themselves probably won't want to talk about this one.
